We continued today with the next meeting to discuss and collect comments and suggestions on the new management plan for the Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park.

At the meeting held in close collaboration with National Agency for Protected Areas and the Vlora Regional Administration of Protected Areas shared the work carried out by the working group and the expert group to implement a plan that will enable effective and sustainable management of the marine park.

Through an evidence-based approach, guided by experiences, lessons learned and analysis of gaps and opportunities for improvement, concrete objectives, measurable targets and clear indicators for monitoring progress and assessing results over time have been identified. These elements will serve as a basis for undertaking well-coordinated actions between responsible institutions and local stakeholders, ensuring an integrated and long-term management of the park.

Also, the comments and suggestions collected during the meeting will be reflected in the further improvement of the draft plan, to make it as comprehensive and applicable in practice as possible.

The work and project for the review of the management plan of the Karaburun Sazan NPD is implemented by the Flag Pine Association in partnership with the National Agency for Protected Areas and the Vlora Regional Administration of Protected Areas with the financial support of MedPAN-network k and co-financing from The MedFund , EuroNatur AND #MonkSealAlliance.
