We held the closing conference of the project "Space Data for Climate Action", together with our partners from Healthy city and with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, the Embassy of Croatia in Albania, RAPA Vlora, the Municipality of Vlora, the Municipality of Himara, the University of Vlora, civil society organizations and community representatives.
The project aimed to promote the integration of spatial technologies and data in the processes of monitoring and understanding climate change, supporting their inclusion in pre-university education curricula in Albania and addressing existing gaps in this field.
The main results of the project include:
-Development of an Action Plan for the integration of space technologies into the Albanian educational curriculum, based on curriculum analysis and data collected from students and teachers in three cities.
-Development of a manual for educators on spatial technologies and data.
-Training of representatives of educational institutions and civil society organizations through a study visit to Croatia.
-Development of educational classes and workshops with pupils and students in the Vlora Region.
During the conference, the main results and achievements of the project were presented, the role of spatial data in addressing climate challenges was discussed, and opportunities for future collaborations were explored. We thank all partners, institutions, and participants for their active engagement and contribution to the success of this initiative!
